STORE POLICIES
PRODUCT CONDITION DETAILS
We have some limited product purchased direct from the North American Bear Company and these items are in new, mint condition; they are identified in the product listings here as "NEW".
The majority of our products are not new (pre-owned) and are offered here for resale. Note that pre-owned items may include packaged outfits and boxed bears and some of this factory packaging may show signs of storage and/or shelf wear (offered here as found).
We are very selective when sourcing our product offerings and stock only clean and odor free product for resale. Some expected signs of light use for pre-owned or displayed bears may include clothing marks on the bear's fur and minor pilling or pitting of felt paws. Occasionally, displayed bears will incur fur discoloration or sun fade; in these cases, we will clearly disclose the condition on the product listing. Other visible condition issues will be documented in the product photos and/or specifically mentioned in the product description.
Each inventory item is photographed and listed as a unique product offering; this ensures that the product you are viewing will be the exact item you receive at time of purchase.
A couple of additional points to note; even old store stock products may occasionally show minor condition issues due to age and the breakdown of source materials used in manufacture. While not prevalent, some typical examples for Muffy product include brittle or failing elastic and rubber bands (used in outfits, ear bows, and hangtags) and cracking/crazing/flecking of pleather and similar materials used in some of the outfit collections.
To ensure a satisfactory shopping experience, we ask that you keep all this in mind as you are making your purchase selections; kindly take note of any visible condition issues shown in listing photos and/or condition comments added to the product description.
REFUND AND RETURN POLICY
In the rare event your item is received damaged or lost in transit, please notify us immediately so that we can work with you to file an insurance claim with the carrier and issue you a speedy refund.
As you consider your purchase, we ask that you keep in mind that we are a family owned and operated small business boutique and our goal is for our customers to be 100% satisfied with their purchase. We strive to be transparent in our listing process and ask that you take care to read the item descriptions carefully and examine product photographs to ensure your purchase expectations are in line with the products offered for sale. Due to the collectible nature and unique characteristics of the products offered for sale, pre-owned (used) items are sold with the understanding that the sale is FINAL; therefore, these items are NOT eligible for return or refund.
Items sold in factory packaging that have been offered as "new" or "like new" may be returned for a full refund of the item purchase amount (excluding invoiced shipping costs) under these conditions,
(1) the buyer pays all costs involved to safely package and return the product to the Boutique within the allowed timeframe,
(2) the buyer has notified the Boutique within 7 days of the item's original delivery confirmation date that they are requesting return of the item for a refund. To initiate a refund request, e-mail us at bufgucci@aol.com,
(3) the buyer has completed return of the item within 7 days of the Boutique's acknowledgement back to the buyer that the request for return/refund has been accepted - note, buyer is responsible for choosing a shipping carrier who can provide them with proof of delivery of the returned item to the Boutique,
(4) the item is received by the Boutique in the same condition as sent, including return of undamaged factory packaging, certifications and product tags.
Provided these conditions have been satisfied, the Boutique will process your refund back to the original payment method within 48 hours of receipt of the returned item. You will receive a confirming e-mail when the refund has been processed.
STATE SALES TAX
Shipments delivered within the State of ILLINOIS will be charged a 6.25% sales tax at time of invoice.
We do not collect any sales tax on shipments delivered outside of Illinois; these buyers are responsible for reporting/remitting any/all state and local sales tax due within their state/township/city of residence directly to that taxing authority.
SHIPPING POLICY
Featured products are stocked and ready for shipment. Orders are processed for shipment next business day, following receipt of payment; weekend purchases ship on Monday (with the exception of major holidays).
Product prices do not include shipping costs. Purchased products will ship USPS Priority Mail throughout the 50 United States for a flat shipping/packaging fee of $7 per order (all products combined into one order will ship for this fee). Shipping fees will be added to your invoice at time of checkout. Priority Mail shipments typically deliver within 3 days of confirmation of order shipment; you will receive a confirming e-mail with package tracking details when your purchase has shipped.
Currently, we do not ship outside of the 50 United States.
USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION POLICY
We keep only that information necessary to maintain accurate business records, facilitate the shipment of purchased product (name, delivery address, payment method), and to respond to customer inquiry (name, e-mail, phone number). We do not share, disseminate, or sell any personal information collected during the communication or invoicing processes to any third party. Outside of a customer request to join the boutique newsletter or mailing list, we do not use collected information for store marketing campaigns. Store subscription elections may be cancelled at anytime by sending a cancellation request to bufgucci@aol.com.
Note that our 3rd party payment processing partners have their own policies; payments made through PayPal are subject to PayPal information and use policies; direct payments made to the store will process through Square and are subject to Square information and use policies.
